Legal information

Last updated: 26 October 2026

Terms of use & services

These terms apply to use of deviantseo.com. A paid project is governed by the written proposal or service agreement agreed with you before work begins; this page does not replace that agreement.

Enquiries, mockups & bookings

Requesting a mockup or booking a discovery call does not create a paid subscription or authorise a charge. Project scope, deliverables, pricing, payment dates, renewals, cancellation and any refund arrangements must be confirmed in writing before you commit. Please contact us if you need to rearrange a call.

Results & AI-generated information

Search rankings, traffic, bookings and revenue are not guaranteed. AI evaluations, business scores, demand estimates and example campaigns are indicative and may contain errors. Illustrative demonstrations are not verified client results. Third-party search data reflects its source and reporting period and should not be treated as a promise of future demand.

Your content & third-party services

You must have permission to supply any content, branding or customer information used in a project. Ownership and licensing of project deliverables will be set out in your agreement. Third-party platforms, hosting, calendars and search engines have their own terms, availability and charges.

Acceptable use & intellectual property

Do not misuse this site, attempt unauthorised access, upload unlawful material or submit misleading reviews. Website branding and original materials may not be reproduced commercially without permission. Reviews may be moderated before publication; submitting a review is not a guarantee that it will be published.

Liability & your rights

Nothing on this page excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence, or limits applicable statutory consumer rights. Any project-specific liability provisions must be agreed in your service agreement.

Privacy notice

Deviant is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. For privacy questions, access or deletion requests, use the website contact form and identify your request as a privacy matter. Please do not include passwords or sensitive customer records.

Information we collect & why

We receive information you submit, such as your name, contact details, business, industry, website, enquiry, booking preferences and review. We use it to respond, prepare for calls, provide agreed services and understand business needs. Sign-in and booking services may process account and appointment information. Site analytics can include page views, clicks, time spent, referring pages, device information and industry or package interest. Location features may use an approximate area; precise location requires your browser permission.

Legal bases & marketing

We process enquiries and service information to take steps at your request or perform a contract; necessary security, administration and service improvement may rely on legitimate interests, balanced against your rights. Legal recordkeeping may rely on legal obligations. Where consent is required for optional tracking, location or marketing, you can withdraw it. Booking a call does not by itself mean you consent to marketing; you may unsubscribe from marketing messages.

Sharing, security & retention

Relevant information may be processed by providers supporting hosting, authentication, email, calendars, analytics and agreed services. Approved reviews and their displayed attribution are public. We do not sell your personal information. Information is kept only for as long as needed for its purpose, service administration and applicable legal obligations. Access is restricted where appropriate, but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure. Where processing involves international transfers, applicable data protection safeguards are required.

Your data protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your information, object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent. We may need to verify your identity. Some records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations. You can raise a concern with us or complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies & local storage

The site uses cookies and browser storage for sign-in, security, preferences and optional features. Cookie settings are available in the homepage footer.

Preference categories

  • Essential: authentication, security and remembering your consent choice.
  • Functional: saved industry, form and booking preferences.
  • Analytics: measuring page views, clicks and interest in services.
  • Marketing: advertising measurement and relevant offers where enabled.
  • Personalisation: local content and currency preferences.

Stored choices & controls

With your marketing permission, Google Ads receives device and advertising click information and completed booking events to measure campaigns and optimise for booked calls. We do not send names, emails or phone numbers to Google Ads. Google tracking is blocked until you accept marketing cookies; rejecting optional cookies does not prevent booking. We retain a dated, versioned record of the notice and your choices in your browser, linked locally to measured bookings. You can change or withdraw permission using Cookie settings; events blocked before acceptance are not replayed. Read how Google uses advertising data.

The site’s consent and category cookies, including deviant_consent and deviant_cookie_prefs, are set for up to 180 days. Other session or browser storage may have different lifetimes. You can revisit Cookie settings, withdraw optional choices or clear cookies and local storage in your browser. Blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in or saved preferences from working. Third-party websites opened from this site have their own cookie notices.
